3 Priceless Lessons from Millionaire Entrepreneurs:

1. Don’t Get Stuck in the Weeds -Russell Brunson

Often, when trying to show people how amazing our product, service, or opportunity is, we go off on this long rant explaining how great our offering is. And as we talk and talk and talk, their eyes glaze over and they zone out completely.

Here is the issue: we love our product so much that we know every little detail about it, and we forget that NONE of those details are what originally sold us on the product in the first place! We get lost in the “weeds,” all those details that no one wants or needs to know.

So, what do we do instead? Recreate the same epiphany we first had. Toss the “Techno-Babble” out the window and use a simple story to bring about that, “ah-ha” moment.

2. Let the Red Ocean Create the Blue Ocean – Stephen Larson

First off, here is what I mean by red and blue ocean: The red ocean is shark invested waters. It’s red because the competition is fierce, and everyone is selling the same thing. The blue ocean is where there is no competition. The water is calm, there is no threat.

When selling, you don’t want to be in the red ocean with how fierce the competition is, but at the same time, the blue ocean is a scary place to be since the market is completely untested.

The balance comes by studying the pain points of the buyers in the red ocean, the sales messaging of the sellers, and then modeling what works.

3. Every Great Business is a Movement – Alex Charfen

If you want to change the world with what you do, the focus shouldn’t be selling to them, it should be serving them.

Movements grow through two key elements: momentum and referral. As you serve people to the highest degree possible, they will refer you to others, which will create momentum, leading to more referrals and the process will continue to snowball.

To grow a movement, you must:
– Define and Unify
– Provide a Plan
– Defend Against
– Advocate For

These are just a few of the many lessons learned this week. If you found value in any of these lessons, let me know in the comments and I will continue to share over the next couple of days!
